Level 1 - Supplier Declared methodology

West-Edge Supplier-Declared Local Content Register is a public register and document hosting service for supplier-declared local content statements.

Suppliers provide their business details, product details, declared Australian local content cost percentage, declaration dates and a signed PDF statement.

All percentages are total-cost-based values. A 90% local content value means 90% of the product or service cost, excluding GST, is attributed to Australian local content.

For West-Edge, the percentage is the supplier-declared percentage of the product or service cost, excluding GST, that is attributable to Australian value-added activity.

Australian value-added activity may include Australian manufactured components, labour, assembly, design or engineering, testing or certification, freight, transport and warehousing, packaging, directly linked overheads, and margin/admin only if declared and not excessive.

This is not calculated by weight, volume, quantity, item count or labour hours unless specifically stated.

West-Edge checks required fields, document presence and basic consistency only. West-Edge does not recalculate local content percentages or audit supplier evidence.

West-Edge provides a public register and document hosting service for supplier-declared local content statements. The supplier is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness and currency of the information provided. West-Edge does not independently audit, verify, certify or approve the declared local content percentage.
